Andrew Lawrence Zarb is a Maltese trumpeter, composer, and conductor with a lifelong passion for music. From a young prodigy to a respected maestro, he has become a prominent figure in Malta’s music scene.

1983. - 1996. Early Beginnings and Musical Foundation
Born in Cospicua, Malta, Andrew showed a strong passion for music from a young age. At nine, he began serious musical training under mentor Ray Sciberras, and by age ten, he performed with the Cospicua St. George’s Band - becoming solo trumpeter and section leader by thirteen.

1996. – 2018. Professional Training and Performance Career
Andrew furthered his trumpet studies at the Johann Strauss School of Music and with renowned tutors like Paul Borg and Larry Meregillano. He earned an FLCM in trumpet performance (2014) and an ALCM in composition (2018), performing with various bands and orchestras across Malta, including the Cappella Diacono.

2018. - Present Composition, Conducting, and Musical Legacy
In addition to performing, Andrew has composed a wide range of music - from liturgical pieces to full symphonic works. He is also deeply passionate about conducting, having led orchestras in concerts and liturgical services, inspired by greats like Leonard Bernstein and Mariss Jansons.
